about apolo

Apollo Club is actually made up of two adjacent venues – Apollo 1 and Apollo 2. Apollo 1 is a larger space with a vibrant old theater – high ceilings, a large stage, and lots of red velvet. Apollo 2 is a more modern space – darker, smaller, and with a loud sound system. Before going to Apollo it is worth considering the shows at the two different clubs – the programmers try to ensure that the genres do not clash, ensuring that you can choose from a varied musical selection.

Apollo’s music policy is one of the most advanced ideas in the entire city. Both Apollo 1 and Apollo 2 are concert halls until midnight , after which DJs enter the scene. The genres on offer span everything from hip hop to step dub to techno to burlesque, all depending on what night of the week you’re on. Previous DJs have included A-Trak, Skream, and Drums of Death.
